Taxi fare scale and fare calculator

As licensing authority, we are responsible for regulating the maximum fares which taxis licensed in our area can charge.

At their meeting on the 11th of October 2024, our Licensing Sub-Committee agreed the current scale, which came into effect on the 1st of December 2024. Vide details of Licensing Sub-Committee meeting.

This scale represents the maximum charges, however, operators can charge less than the metered fare.

We must carry out a review of the maximum fares chargeable within 18 months and this is done following consultation with the trade as well as members of the public.
