Development Plan Scheme

Each year we produce a Development Plan Scheme to set out our programme of work for preparing and reviewing Local Development Plans (LDPs). This is a legal requirement as per the Planning etc. (Scotland) Act 2006.

The scheme provides information on:

  • What development plans we have now
  • Why we need to prepare a new LDP
  • Project plan: the timetable for preparing a new LDP plan and its related works
  • Participation statement: our timetable for consulting people and how we will do this
