ECO4 Flex Scheme
Published: 11 September 2018Last Updated: 20 May 2024
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme that helps tackle carbon emissions and fuel poverty.
The aim of ECO4 Flex is to reduce fuel poverty in private housing occupied by low-income, vulnerable and fuel poor households. Eligible households may be entitled to free or low-cost measures to improve the energy efficiency of their home.
Under ECO4 Flex the council can refer private households that we consider to be living in fuel poverty and vulnerable, to one of the approved contractors. The contractor will decide whether to install any measures.
