Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Integration Scheme
Published: 03 February 2021Last Updated: 05 September 2024
The Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Integration Scheme sets out the legal basis for the Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership (AHSCP). It is an agreement between Aberdeenshire Council and NHS Grampian to create an Integration Joint Board (IJB). It aims to create an integrated Health and Social Care service, where all individuals work together to achieve the same outcomes, following the same vision, philosophy and principles.
Aberdeenshire IJB carried out a review of the current Scheme in late 2022, and presented a revised Integration Scheme to the Scottish Ministers for approval. This was approved by the Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport on 26th August 2024.
