UCFS is paid monthly in arrears to the customer. By default, the payment to the customer includes their housing costs and the customer is responsible to pay their housing costs direct to their landlord.
Customers currently in receipt of legacy benefits will be transferred to UCFS gradually over the next couple of years, they will be advised when this will happen.
