The Historic Asset Management Project (HAMP) is run by the Environment Team within the Planning and Building Standards Service and manages the repair and maintenance of over 500 historic assets in council ownership.
Local Authorities have a duty of care to the public to ensure structures in its ownership are safe, but also a duty to protect, maintain and safeguard historic assets for future generations to enjoy. HAMP brings together these two important statutory obligations.
For more information about the project, please contact the HAMP Project Officer at hamp@aberdeenshire.gov.uk.
